The Savage Gear Sandeel Pencil 12.5cm 19g is a highly realistic hard lure designed to imitate one of the most important baitfish in Irish waters – the sandeel. Based on a precise 3D scan of a real sandeel, this lure delivers an incredibly natural profile and lifelike swimming action that predators find hard to ignore.

On a steady retrieve, the Sandeel Pencil swims with a seductive, slim S-curve, keeping the head slightly raised to mimic a fleeing baitfish. When paused, it flutters and rolls backwards, a movement that regularly triggers aggressive strikes from following fish. The built-in rattle chamber adds an audible clicking sound when twitched, increasing attraction and helping predators locate the lure even in rough or coloured water.
