The Savage Gear Sandeel Pencil is a highly refined hard lure designed to perfectly imitate the natural movement of a real sandeel or eel. Developed using a 3D scan of an actual eel, this lure delivers a subtle yet seductive S-shaped swimming action, with the head held slightly raised — a deadly trigger for predatory fish in Irish coastal and estuary waters.

On a steady retrieve, the lure swims smoothly and naturally, while on the pause it flutters and rolls backwards, a movement that often provokes aggressive reaction strikes. When twitched, the built-in rattling chamber produces a loud clicking sound, adding extra attraction and helping predators locate the lure even in coloured or choppy water.

Designed for long-distance casting, the Sandeel Pencil allows anglers to cover large areas of water efficiently from shore or boat. Supplied with high-quality hooks and a sinker, it also features a belly loop that gives you the option to add an extra hook or weight if required, allowing you to fine-tune the lure to suit conditions.

Finished in the highly effective Brown Copper Red Dots colour pattern, this lure offers excellent realism and contrast in a wide range of light and water conditions.
